    We found the problem; Spam Hammer should automatically activate your account when you activate the plugin.

    In Kathy’s case, this didn’t happen due to an error in the plugin and she had to go to Dashboard > Spam Hammer and “Save” for her account to be activated.

    The fix for this issue will be in the next version so when someone else activates, they will have a token made without having to save.

    For what it’s worth, my plugin was already active. So perhaps the account activation should also be triggered by plugin upgrade.

    Spam Hammer 1.x (what you were running before) and the current version (2.x) are totally different plugins;

    While technically it was an upgrade, what really happened under the hood was a removal of the previous version and installation of the new one, so it couldn’t have been active before
