    Hello there,

what could be possible reasons for the site detection to display and generate the tracking code for the the id 1 instead of the one with the matching domain?

Sometimes it even seems to change between reloads admin backend…

Did you enter all related domains for your site to your Matomo backend? WP-Matomo sends your blog URL (as configured in WordPress) to Matomo to get the site ID to use.

You can also run the test script (WP-Matomo settings -> Support). This should help to understand what’s happening.

If you changed your blog’s URL some time ago, it may also help to reset WP-Matomo and to try again.

In the worst case, i.e. nothing helps & there is no hint what’s going wrong, you can also disable auto estimation and choose the correct site ID.

    Dear braekling,

somehow reloarding the settings page a few times resolved the issue ??
