• I have replaced my <!--more--> tag with custom text and CSS to make it into a “Buy Print!” button.
Awesome. It jumps people into the post and when they order I’ll know what photo they wanted. (I’m selling my prints. Yay business!)

Currently I have 170 of my 450 some posts with the button. I selected these photos for certain reasons.

What if someone wants to buy one that does not have my “Buy Print!” button?

They could leave a comment. But I’d like to be more proactive than that.
I do not want to manually add code to 280 some posts.

I’d like WordPress to detect if the <!--more--> tag is NOT in a post, and then place a button like, “Sell me this” or maybe some way to vote or like the post.

I think I’d do this in content.php. Any ideas or suggestions?
