    Hi,

I want to use WPvivid to migrate a site for our sports club.

I’m using Spectra One theme (block theme) and Spectra plugin (blocks plugin) on this site.

After the migration has finished some parts of the destination site are fully scrambled in the front end. However if I view these pages in the backend they are displayd totally correct.

Especially on the main page this is heavily visible as well on the contact page (Kontakt).

During the migration I did not get any error messages.

I would love to use WPvivid for the task of migrating as it would be the easiest way to perform the task.

    Any help is highly appreciated.

    Best Sascha

    Hi Sascha @gulpman

Does the theme require regeneration it’s CSS or shortcodes after the migration? If so, please do it and see if that solves the issue.

If that is not the case, then would you send us a debug zip of the target site to contact(at)wpvivid.com to help identify the issue? You can find it from the Debug tab of the plugin.

    All the best,

    Hi Tony,

thank you very much for your fast response.

I did “asset generation” from the Spectra plugin which should recreate the CSS if I understand correctly. Without success unfortunately.

I mailed the debug zip to the E-Mail address you proposed. Let’s see if they have any idea.

Again, thank you very much for trying to help!

    Best

Just a quick update: The WPvivid team was able to find out, what caused the issue and giving advice how to fix it with a workaround.

Within the settings of Spectra (plugin) there is a setting under:
Settings -> Asset Generation -> File Generation

allowing to having global css and js files so the code doesn’t have to be inserted inline in each page.

I had this setting activated. It seems to only lead to issues on the destination site after the migartion.

However, if you deactiveate this on the destination site (thus css and js are being created inline) the issue is solved.

The WPvivid team told me they will check with the Spectra team to see how this issue can be resolved.

Anyway – if someone else is having this issue, deactivating File Generation on the destination site resolves the issue.

I want to give a big Thank You! to the WPvivid team as they responded quick, kept me updated on progress and even could resolve the issue.
I was positively impressed with the support.

    All the best,
    Sascha
