• I updated my site and all of my plugins last night, and noticed that my “Black Studio Tiny MCE Widget was suddenly missing, along with some of the text I had created with it. I tried to reinstall the plugin, but I got an error message saying this:
    Destination folder already exists. /home/content/77/10534977/html/wp-content/plugins/black-studio-tinymce-widget/

    Plugin install failed.

I’ve tried it several times, and I get the same message every time. Please help! I am very much a beginner, so please explain it like you’re talking to a complete moron if you can!

    Thank you

  • Hi,

Well, you’ll need either FTP or to login to your hosts cPanel to gain access to your file directories. If you don’t have (know) FTP; then use the cPanel option. If you don’t know how to use cPanel, contact your host and ask how to access your file directories.

Once you have access to your server files, navigate to the “wp-content/plugins” folder. Inside that folder, you should see another folder named “black-studio-tinymce-widget”.

    Delete the “black-studio-tinymce-widget” folder.

Now you should be able to reinstall the plugin. Also, I’m pretty sure any options you saved should still be available. You may need to drag the widgets from the “Inactive Widgets” area on the Widgets admin page.
