Destination folder already exists – them install failed

I am trying to install the buddy press theme I got from buddypress.org. I cannot get the installation to complete correctly. When I try to upload the zip file for the buddy press theme again, I get an error saying the destination folder already exists — Theme install failed. Yet I do not see the theme on my dashboard.
