Desktop view in child Twenty Seventeen

My desktop view in a child theme of Twenty Seventeen scrolls continuing past the lower part of my content. Where my content stops, the scrolling doesn’t stop. . . . It keeps going to scroll, but nothing is there. Any suggestions on how to stop this?
