designing the post

Hello guys, I need some help with this part of my theme..
I am crating a recent post by category in my sidebar..

here’s the design.. and I wanted my post the sidebar to be like this..

and “Mitch Koppelman” is the title

my codes is not giving me my desired design.. what should I do?
