Have you defined any funds yet? The form option doesn’t show unless there are forms defined. I looked at the generated HTML and I don’t see the fund block there, so I’m guessing it doesn’t think you have funds to choose from.

    Hi David,

No, we have not set up the designated funds. Thank you.

My second question would be that were we to set up a designated fund, would this fund appear on the PayPal receipt? I am speaking for the accountant who must look at all of the donations. In my experience, PayPal isn’t really good at this. We have made sure to set up notifications of new donations with your plugin.

    Thank you,

    Sheena

No, there’s not a lot of information that gets successfully transferred to PayPal other than the transaction itself.

P.S. Marking as resolved because it’s not a capability of Seamless Donations. At least not yet.

We are having the same problem (fund designation line not appearing) and have two funds seemingly correctly created. Donations page link:

In Form Options, do you have Designated Funds set to Show?

    –David

Hi David…yes, it is properly set. We also tried resetting it to “Don’t Show”, saving those settings, then resetting to “Show”, resaving, etc etc, even turning a few other form fields off and on again, each time resaving. The only two form options that have been “Don’t Show” from our Day One have been Donor Employer and Donor Occupation. The others have always been “Show” and, save for this recent problem, have appeared without a hitch. Maybe this is significant: when we first set up the form, we had “Show” for the funds line but had no funds set up. We then received a few donations (all worked fine), and then, several weeks later, set up two funds. At that point, we noticed that the designated funds line was not showing below the amounts checkoff line. Would that implementation sequence have any bearing on the problem at hand? Also, we’d be pleased to email screen shots if that will help. Would it help to give you admin access to the site? Thanks…

Left this out: in a just-ended donations campaign, site visitors reported back that they did not see the Designated Funds line either … useful feedback that it is not a page caching problem locally just with us.

I don’t see anything special about your form. But there’s also nothing weird in the code that generates it. My best guess is that there might be a theme or plugin conflict. The best way to tell is to switch themes temporarily and/or temporarily turn off plugins and see if it suddenly works. That would tell us whether or not something is conflicting.

I am not seeing an option to add funds.

I see the “funds” tab but when I go there I have no funds set up and i cannot find a button to add a new fund. can you please clarify the process of how to add a fund?

Click on Funds on the left dashboard bar. Like with other custom post types, under the word Funds on the dashboard bar, you’ll see Add New. Click that to add a fund.

P.S. Marking as resolved because basic feature usage.

Thanks. I had removed that button on the dashboard to declutter my dashboard when I first installed the plugin. But it looks like that is the only way to configure the funds. Thanks.

I did not see that one coming. That’s new. ??
