description non showing in lightbox (any effect I choose)

  • Hi, I’m having some trouble because I can’t figure how to show the description of the images after they have been opened. I’ve tried all the lightbox effects available, even the “no lightbox” one, but there’s no way I can see my text.
    How can I solve this problem? (In the meanwhile thumbnails display all the descriptions correctly since I have created a new gallery template).

    @openviewsnc – Can you provide a link to the working and the non-working displays?

    I’m not really understanding what you are describing except possibly that you are using custom templates that may be interfering with the displays.

    Hi, actually there are no working displays (description never appears on selected images), here is the link to my page https://deco.openview.it/portfolio-3/ and this is the theme I’m using https://zonya.wpengine.com/ …maybe there is a conflict with the theme?

    @openviewsnc – There are several Lightbox Effects we bundle with NextGEN Gallery (as a convenience) that will display the image caption (read: Description) but there does appear to be a lot going on with your site.

    Try one of the Shutter Lightbox Effects … and possibly switch to a default WordPress Twenty series theme as well to ensure there is no theme conflict.
