Description Field Max Length

    Hello,

    I’d like to be able to limit the number of characters that a user can add to the description field.

    I tried to add a custom text field to accomplish this, but there were two issues – one, the content was not contained in the pop up bubble. Second, and this is minor, there was nothing that would let a user know there was a character limit. Text simply stopped being added when the limit was met.

    Again, I’d prefer to use the built in description field with the ability to set max characters for that field.

    Hi @justinbryeans,

    Yes, this should work with the Text and Link Custom Fields. I’ve just tested both and it worked (Free & PRO). Be aware that the new Custom Field only shows up in the bubble if the user had typed in something. It will not render on older locations. Does this help you?

    I like the idea to display a little counter of remaining characters. This will probably come with an upcoming update. This will include the Description Field.
