Depth of page widget

  • Will be the possibility to set depth of page widget added in the nearest releases of WordPress?
    I found tickets on this topic but the only solution given was to write own function – widget_pages_args – and nothing about UI.
    Why I cannot still use all the arguments of wp_list_pages (such as ‘depth’) in the Appearance → Widgets menu?
