    Hi everyone!

This issue has been fixed in WooCommerce Multilingual 4.12.4 which has been released before WooCommerce 6.1.

However, this “deprecation” notice is not specific to WooCommerce Multilingual. It can be triggered by any 3rd party WooCommerce addon.

If you come across this issue, please try to deactivate your WC addons one by one to detect which one is actually causing this “deprecated” notice. Then you need to contact the addon’s author to get it fixed.

If you still have this problem after updating WooCommerce Multilingual v4.12.4, please open a ticket on wpml’s forum and we’ll provide a custom support.

    Thanks,
    Pierre

I am not using woocommerce multilingual. Just Woo Commerce.

I’m not using Woocommerce Multilingual – I’m just using woocommerce. Version 6.0 works fine, but when i upgrade to the new version (6.1) I get all the errors.

Oh, I’m not using the WPML version I don’t think either. Just WC, WC Paysafe Gateway (non WC plugin?), WC Shipping and Tax.

Then your problem is NOT related to this ticket.
We are in the “WooCommerce Multilingual – run WooCommerce with WPML” support forum.

A LOT of other plugins are still using is_ajax and you need to reach those plugins authors and not pollute this ticket related ONLY to WCML.

I’m the author of this ticket and I can confirm this is fixed on WooCommerce Multilingual. I would advise, if possible, to close comments on this ticket because we’re attracting people having problems with other plugins.

@strategio I would love to do that, but it’s not letting me edit the original post anymore.

    Anyway, it’s quite clear… https://snipboard.io/IqzjvP.jpg

WooCommerce eventually decided to revert the deprecation message for is_ajax.

This issue was fixed on WooCommerce Multilingual 4.12.4 but if you have this problem from another WC addon, you should be safe to update to WC 6.1.1 (see announcement).

WooCommerce 6.1.1 has reverted the Deprecated notice, probably because of all the plugins still using is_ajax().

I actually think they shouldn’t have done that and “force” the developers to fix their plugins and use the native WordPress wp_doing_ajax() function (I’m a plugin developer myself, and had to fix this issue in 2 of my 20+ plugins).

Anyway, just stopped by to tell everyone that, misleading, replied to this ticket solely about WooCommerce Multilingual, that you can upgrade to WooCommerce 6.1.1

To the WooCommerce Multilingual support team: sorry about the non-specific topic title that attracted so much people here, but hey, the plugin title and logo are just on the side of the ticket title, I wasn’t supposed to mention the plugin on the title at all.
