Good afternoon. I use a plugin called “Query Monitor” to get extra information about the performance of my WordPress installation. The Query Monitor plugin flagged two functions in your plugin which are now deprecated in PHP 7.2.0 (please see this screen snip). Are there any plans to make the plugin fully compatible with this version of PHP? Thanks in advance!

    Best,

    Justin

    Hello,

These are just PHP notices for functions that are deprecated in version 7.2 and will be removed on a future PHP version.

Please note that these notices/warnings do not affect plugin’s functionality or performance.

I’m well aware of them (I use the plugin on many PHP 7.2 installations) and the plan is to address them in the next plugin versions (either in 1.6.3 or 1.6.4).

I haven’t already address them in the current plugin development version because I don’t want to simply replace the functions with PHP 7.2 compatible ones. I want to keep the plugin compatible with PHP 5.2 too (so it works everywhere), thus I haven’t rush and push any quick/simple updates.

Thanks a lot for the feedback ??

@malihu Makes perfect sense. Thank you for the quick response. Also, I do very much like the plugin, so thank you for the time and effort you put into making it.

    Best,

    Justin
