We were getting this too, but it went away after I upgraded WordPress SEO Premium from 19.0.1 to 19.1. If that doesn’t fix it, it’s likely from some other Yoast add-on that’s attempting to call this deprecated method.

I also have that error here https://advertising-excellence.com/ and I’m not able to login to the admin. It tells me Error: Cookies are blocked due to unexpected output. However, Chrome is set to allow all cookies. I also tried to login to wp-admin from my phone and I get the same Cookies error.

Mine is fixed now and the hosting company says there was a spelling error in Debug mode. I have no idea what that means.

We absolutely messed up the 19.5 release last Tuesday. That should not have happened and we’re deeply sorry about breaking your sites. We did push a new release as fast as we could (19.5.1) but failed to acknowledge publicly the fact that this shouldn’t have happened in the first place.

That we also ran into a bug with www.remarpro.com itself that caused the .zip file to be unavailable for a while didn’t help the situation at all.

So yes, you have all the right to be mad at us for this. We’re sorry and promise to do better in the future.

I’m still getting this error despite having upgraded to the latest version.

I saw the same issue today, but after i update the plugins, the error gone.

Same issue on site with Yoast SEO (Version 20.5), Yoast SEO Premium (Version 20.2.1).

Also, the sitemap (domain.com/sitemap_index.xml) isn’t working, while the deprecated function error message is showing. Error message on the sitemap page (sitemap starts working again once rolling back to Yoast version 20.4):
