You may know this, but I get:

    Notice: add_filter( htmledit_pre ) is deprecated since version 4.3.0! Use add_filter( format_for_editor ) instead. in /Users/bw/Sites/wvrx.from-co.net/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3573

    originating from WP Edit V 3.7 – main.php, line 115.

    Hello.

Just returned home from a business trip. Sorry for the delay.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Yes, I was aware the first filter is deprecated; but I thought I had made this adjustment in the plugin.

I have added the task to my agenda; and will get it fixed for the next release.

Thank you VERY much for taking the time to notify me, and also providing the details ??

    Please have a wonderful day.

Hello Josh and thanks for a wonderful plugin. Not sure if this is an issue with your plugin or the theme. But I hope you can help.

Over the last couple months, oddly enough, I have been having an issue on my TEST client site that has to do with the VISUAL EDITOR not displaying. In fact I can’t even select it. The Page Editor defaults to Text.

It all started when I was updating plugins and the Weaver II Pro Theme. Unfortunately I am not sure when it first happened. So I am unsure if it occurred when I was updating plugins or the theme. However, I have tried the following to no success:

    1) I disabled all the plugins
    2) I switched themes
    3) NOTE: “Disable the visual editor when writing” is NOT checked.
    4) Then I turned on WordPress Debugging

After turning on Debugging I discovered the following:

WHEN VIEWED IN WORDPRESS DASHBOARD PAGES :
    Notice: add_filter( htmledit_pre ) is deprecated since version 4.3.0! Use add_filter( format_for_editor ) instead. in /home/…/public_html/…/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3662

WHEN VIEWED IN WORDPRESS DASHBOARD :
Notice: add_object_page is deprecated since version 4.5! Use add_menu_page() instead. in /home/…/public_html/…/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3662

The above errors are current as of updating my site to the most current plugins and WordPress 4.5.

If this is causing the inability to select or display the VISUAL EDITOR, I am unclear as to what and how to edit?

Thanks for any help or advice!

Ah Ha! It turns out I was not completely clearing my browser cache in Chrome.

I discovered this link: Troubleshoot Blank WordPress Editor

I followed the steps exactly and discovered it is the Weaver Xtreme Plus Plugin causing the conflict.

I will now delete and then reinstall that plugin according to Weaver Xtreme Plus Installation Instructions

This is very strange. It appears to be a conflict with the Weaver Xtreme Plus plugin, but I cannot solve it on this site.

I have other sites that are running the same plugins and are hosted on servers running PHP 5.4, but there is no conflict on those sites with the Visual Editor and the Xtreme Plus plugin. Any ides why?

I will inquire with Weaver Themes.
    Thanks again for your plugin!
