• Just upgraded to WP 5.5.1 and got this notice sitting at the top now:

Deprecated: add_option_whitelist is deprecated since version 5.5.0! Use add_allowed_options() instead. in D:\********************\wp-includes\functions.php on line 4773

    Please advise.

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Twenty theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

    Thanks.

I just did a whole bunch of plugin updates and it seems to have fixed the problem – didn’t think it had anything to do with them since it was mentioning a stock file.

A lot of plugin and theme functions pass through /wp-includes/functions.php so it still could have been one of them, especially since updating them fixed it. ??
