Demo Content Install- Loopback connection and cURL error 28

  • Hi, I am trying to install the demo content that came with the theme “Filmic” that I purchased but I keep getting the error

    “Important: HTTP Loopback Connections are not enabled on this server. If you need to contact your web host, tell them that when PHP tries to connect back to the site at the URL https://michaelmailerfilms.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php and it gets the error cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 5004 milliseconds with 0 bytes received. There may be a problem with the server configuration (eg local DNS problems, mod_security, etc) preventing connections from working properly.”

    My Web Host (yahoo) says it has nothing to do with them, I have already tried
    define(‘ALTERNATE_WP_CRON’, true); in wp-config

    Any suggestions on what I should do next?

    Since you use a commercial theme and need support, please go to their official support channel. In order to be good stewards of the WordPress community, and encourage innovation and progress, we feel it’s important to direct people to those official locations: https://themeforest.net/

    Forum volunteers are also not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why your commercial theme or plugin is not working properly. This is one other reason why volunteers forward you to the commercial product’s vendors. The vendors are responsible for supporting their commercial product.

    HTTP Loopback Connections are not enabled on this server.

    Contact your hosting provider for assistance.
