Delivery fee on Service that is a variable product

Hello,
I’m facing a small challenge of conception (or am i just too much of beginner?) and I dare to ask for advise:
I have a service (school-lessons) – which is a variable product (nbr of hours to book) – so it should not be taxed for shipping. Yet there are charges for delivery of the product in the Cart. There should be none, because people come to class after booking a meeting. We deliver when we meet (:
How should I do? Please advise.

Make sure that once you have created your variables that they are each selected as Virtual products.
