• I’m almost done (RC1) with the core of my new photolog. It is simplistic and doesn’t use more sophisticated hacks like pictorialis.
    Currently Known Issues:
    1. Rendering issues in some IE versions.
    2. The (previous and next) graphical buttons misbehave/don’t function on IE.
    3. The comments popup needs a lot more polishing. And the link to the comments popup gives away a lot of information (that it is a php file, post id number and so on) which I am trying to obscure.

  • in IE 5.5 the picture is “glued” to the left extreme of the screen. Is it by design?

dss: I made a few small source changes, but the most important one that might make it seem to “render more smoothly” is I’ve made sure all images have their width and height tags set. Now the frame renders correctly even before the main image is fully loaded, even if viewed from a slightly slower connection.

Leech: Great, check it out and give me your comments.

moshu: That’s unfortunately not by design. I have to get my hands on a machine with IE 5.5 (and/or probably below) and hack things so they look as they’re “supposed to” there as well.
    Thanks for the input.
Here is how it’s “supposed to” look, by the way, centered. I’d drawn out the design I wanted before writing the template.

Is this for general release now? I’d love to give it a shot, looks really nice…
