So I removed all the youtube embedded videos and the Backpackers Wanted link.
The problem is:
Uncaught Error: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: .#slides_container jquery.js:2
Any idea of what i have to do to fix that?

I’m having the same issue right now diversunderground. Exact same. I can get the images on the top right to show up but not in the main featured box. Its definitely tagged correctly. I’m gonna look into how to switch versions of jQuery. I’m self hosting this as well.

so i imagine you can just switch out the jquery.min.js file in the wp-includes/js/jquery folder. I tried doing that but didn’t fix my issue. You can try it and see if it works for you. Just right click, save the file he’s linking us to.

Hi both of you — it looks like that’s a theme problem, in which case you should really go to WooThemes for help — they should be supporting their commercial themes.

Hey cambomb, I deactivated all the plugins and activated them again and that fixed the problem… Hope it works for you!

The thing that worked for me was to delete everything and start from scratch. I think something was corrupted. Finally got it working. But something to note, if you don’t have more than one featured item, the featured item spot won’t work.

I’m dealing with a similar issue with the slider not showing in my delicious magazine theme, and it seems like it might be related to something with the WordPress SEO plugin. When I deactivated and reactivated my plugins one by one, that was the one that caused the slider to disappear again.

Again, I’m not 100% sure it’s the problem, but I noticed someone else having the same issue and asking about it in the support forum for WordPress SEO here at www.remarpro.com.

Hi Andrew – I’ve been working with woothemes support on this for about 11 days, and it’s been slow going finding a fix (especially since woo did away with the support forum).

Since it seems others are having the same issue with the same theme, I thought we might be able to share information and figure out a fix.
