(Delicious like)Tags Plugin for WP 1.5

  • Tags is a plugin for WordPress to create del.icio.us and flickr like tags to label an article. Several tags may be added to an article. It also supports RewriteRule for convinient use.

    Examples:

    https://boke.name/tags/tag
    https://boke.name/tags/tag+wordpress

    Tags is now in ALPHA state. USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!

    Tags is only compatible with WordPress 1.5.
    Tags is tested under MySQL 4.1.10 (for UTF support). Please check it with MySQL 4.0.x.

    Tags is licensed under GPL

    You can download Tags 0.1alpha from https://boke.name/files/tags.php.txt
    This patch https://boke.name/files/tags.patch.txt should be applied to your wordpress installation. (For modifying post forms, or you can manually modify them with the instructions in tags.php)

  • The plugin does not work for me, running WordPress 1.5 (release just prior to Official, not sure number). I have uploaded a screenshot of my errors here. I really hope to get this working as this is something I have been looking for for quite some time.

    Thank you for your feedback. I cannot see your screenshot. Would you please send me a ticket in the wp-plugins dev system? (Thanks to Matt)

    In https://dev.wp-plugins.org, login with your forum username and password. You can see a “New Ticket” link in the top right corner. Click in. You can describe your problem in the new-ticket form. In the “Ticket Properties” fieldset, select “wp-tags”‘ as the plugin.

    It’s appreciated to attach the PHP version info (including what extenstions are installed, from phpinfo() ) and the MySQL version you are using.

    The lastest development version of Tags is always in https://dev.wp-plugins.org/browser/wp-tags/trunk

    Apologies for the link. Apparently, it kept the image location that I copied from Firefox because I couldn’t remember the name of that picture host. I will put a ticket in.

    Tags is updated. Some bugs are fixed and several new functions are added. The package can be downloaded here: https://boke.name/c/wordpress-tags. The latest development version is at wp-plugins. Thank you.

    I tried out this plugin. I want to use it for one of my blogs (https://bookshelf.xavierroy.com). If you take a look there, I would like posts to be tagged as “author name” with the blank space. Also how do I multiple-tag posts. Any help would be helpful.

    The pluigin is activated, tables were obviously created but no “tags”-field appears on the “write posts” page. Maybe it’s because I haven’t applied the patch? How is this done? I have some basic php knowledge but the command-line stuff is new to be. Any wordaround? Thanks! Long waited plugin!

    I do not knwo what should I do with patch as well ??
