del.ic.ious cached error

  • I’ve been searching the web for days now and can’t find anything about my problem. I am using del.ic.ious cached and am getting an error message I don’t understand. The plugin is working because it displays me del.ic.ious links but at the end it also has this error message:

    Warning: fopen(/home/spyder/public_html/wordpress_testing/wp-content/delicious_cache.html): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/spyder/public_html/wordpress_testing/wp-content/plugins/delicious.php on line 50

    Warning: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/spyder/public_html/wordpress_testing/wp-content/plugins/delicious.php on line 52

    Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/spyder/public_html/wordpress_testing/wp-content/plugins/delicious.php on line 53

  • Try making wp-content writable as well as the html file ?

    Have you tried:
    – downloading the existing cache, deleteing the one on the server and uploading a blank file to see if it gets written to ?

    – hard refreshing your page to check that you are seeing fresh output ?

    Making the wp-content writable did the trick. However, is there any harm in doing that; like people being able to alter files or something?
