Deleting/Scanning in batches

  • Hi!

    We have over 40k images that we do not want to use any more. Your plugin seems nice however it times out our server every time.

    Is it possible to delete or scan in batches of 100/500 for example?

    Unfortunately this way the plugin is useless now for us :/

    Hello,

    Be careful before deleting everything ?? Try with a few files first. Then you can select 500 photos if you like and delete them. Or less. Or everything. It’s up to you ??

    Yes, I know thanks ??

    But my host (WPEngine) kills every process that take more than 60 sec so I guess that is why none of the images show up that is supposed to be deleted…

    I am using WPE too. You mean, the initial startup doesn’t work?

    So it actually went through the very first stage and failed at scanning… the first file. Can you check your PHP error logs? You can see them in WPEngine admin.

    I do not see any errors in the error log. According to my experience WPE does not log 502 errors.

    After waiting 10 mins and reloading it shows 1-2-3 images sometimes.

    Lol, after trying again and again I am finally at 55/40000 and it is moving up….

    I will update you how it goes.

    I don’t think it would be 502 errors, that would be strange. Haha, okay. Let’s see how far it goes. You really do have a LOT of files. Be careful ?? Make a backup always. Normally WPE has, but who knows ??

    Yes, I know and this is only my old staging site for testing. When we do the webshop restructuring project we will have to delelte 80k images ??

    Mmm, not really. The only way is to have a look the PHP error logs…
