I needed to remove Wordfence to test a situation. I put a checkmark next to delete all the data and tables upon deactivation. Then, I disabled the plugin. I had to fix the php.ini routing but I noticed two tables that look like Wordfence tables judging by the prefix in the names.

    wp_wfls_2fa_secrets
    wp_wfls_settings

Are they indeed Wordfence tables? If so, may I delete those tables without causing problems?

    Thank you,

    Cemal

PS. I have a replica of the site with Wordfence for later use

Hi @acekin, thanks for your query.

They are indeed Wordfence tables. You can see our full list of tables in our Remove/Reset guide here: https://www.wordfence.com/help/advanced/remove-or-reset/

The reason they have been left behind is because in addition to the option you checked, in Wordfence > Login Security > Settings, there is an additional Delete Login Security tables and data on deactivation option.

    Thanks,

    Peter.

Thani you @wfpeter, does this mean I can manually delete those tables with no ill effects on my site?

    Hi @acekin,

You can remove those, you will just have to disregard any existing 2FA app entries and start from scratch if you reinstall Wordfence in the future.

    Thanks,

    Peter.
