Thank you Javier for ‘Import users and customers from CSV’, it is a terrifically-useful plugin.

    1. I ran a CSV import, but then realised I had the wrong (column header) fields. I deleted all new WP Users, except admin.

    2. When I look at admin’s Users>Your Profile …I see redundant ‘Extra Profile Information’ fields listed.

    3. Tools>Import>Documentation>Important notice …says:

If you upload another file, the columns will change to the form of last file uploaded.

    Tools>Import>Documenation>Extra Profile Fields ..says:

if you load another CSV with different columns, the new ones will replace this list

Does this mean that after uploading another CSV file with different column headings, that the redundant ‘Extra Profile Information’ fields will be erased, OR does ‘Import users and customers from CSV’ just keep adding new field names, without enabling their presence to be edited?

Tools>Import>Documenation>Extra Profile Fields ..has: ‘Show fields in profile’. If fields are not shown, do they still exist when they are no-longer needed?

There is a ‘Profile Extra Fields’ plugin, but when viewing Profile Extra Fields from admin user profile, the fields which ‘Import suers from CSV with meta’ made, are not displayed.

Is there a way permanently to erase redundant (imported) fields?

    Thank you again.

    @cmsplay,

Thanks for your words. We have to improve the way we manage extra profile fields.

No currently there is no way to erase it but we have to do it.

I will try to include it as soon as possible.

While we improve it you can edit it in your database into wp_options table in the option called: “acui_show_profile_fields”.

I copy it into the next version of the plugin.

I have just added a button to reset those fields.

    You can erase them.

We have to improve more this but it would be enough for you.

    Regards!
