    Hello,

I understand that deleting posts is not easily done, but I would like to formally request that my post be deleted due to legal issues. It was a situation where the plugins were interfering with each other causing some serious issues in the tax calculation in Woocommerce.

I stated that I could not get the taxes to show up, which meant that all prices were being calculated excluding taxes, and customers were being billed that way. I included the URL’s which lead to some customers calling and asking whether their payments were handled correctly (after they found the url and posts online). I contacted Woocommerce and their programmers were kind enough to help me out, but now the website seems untrustworthy because of my help post or at least, not entirely ‘airtight’ when it comes to payments.

This is the link to my post:

I hope that you can see that this is a compelling reason.

Kind regards and thanks in advance

  • Hey @adaptiveali,

I have modlook’d this post and I am sure a moderator will be by shortly but I can certainly tell you that it is very very rare that these requests are fulfilled. It is the forum policy.

What’s the compelling reason? Except that your site shows up in search engine hits, there is nothing there would indicate it should be redacted. While I am not a lawyer, there simply is nothing “wrong” with that post or topic.

As indicated in the forum welcome, search engine hits are not a sufficient reason to edit or delete posts.

I understand your point fully, but I respectfully disagree. It is in no way related to SEO or anything like that. The content of the website and programs being sold were about dealing with security issues (amongst others) and some customers were under the impression that they’ve been under- or overcharged as a result of the post stating taxes were not being calculated properly.

This diminished the value of the services and products being sold as it seemed they were less trustworthy. I hope you can reconsider.

I’ve delinked them, which … well, Google’s still gonna list you.

I would reply to that post and explain that everything was taken care of and it’s all good. So if someone finds it, they’ll see

    1) You found a problem
    2) You got it fixed
