deleting page and then redoing it creates different link for it problem

  • hi, i played arround with pages and created test page
    and the link to page is mysite/test
    then i deleted the page and after a while created page named test again
    but now my link is mysite/test-1
    how do i make link to be
    mysite/test again if renaming it is forbidden as i see

    where is this info stored about deleted pages etc. how to clear it or something?

  • I don’t know if this is the best way to do it but you can go to your database throw your mysql client (probably phpmyadmin) and change the link for the page.
    Hope it works

    Edit: I guess that chainging “guid” in the wp-posts table should do it.
