If I delete Jetpack from my WordPress and then redownload it, will that delete all my subscribers? Can that cause any problems for my site and what Jetpack was covering and such? Just wondering the ramifications?

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Your Jetpack settings (Stats, Subscribers, …) are stored on WordPress.com and linked to your site URL. If you deactivate and delete Jetpack, and then install it again from scratch, you’ll get your data back as soon as you connect your site back to WordPress.com, as long as your site URL doesn’t change.

I hope this clarifies things a bit.

@jeherve What things would I have to set up again in Jetpack if I did delete it and reinstall it? I mean is there any specific settings that I may lose and would have to start over with? I’m assuming I have to reset up my social media and such in doing so. I’m only looking for the possibility if I took that step, of what programming I could lose. Say for example on the jetpack subscriptions, I have some specific text I wrote in for when it shows up on my site. I’m assuming that for example would originate back to the default correct? What else could be lost and have to be redone?

You would have to reconnect the plugin to WordPress.com, under the Jetpack menu in your dashboard. Once you’ve done so, you’ll need to review your Jetpack settings to make sure the modules you used in the past are still active. You would also have to re-create any Jetpack widgets you may have used in your sidebar, including any custom text you added to that widget. And you will have to reset your Publicize connections.

Other than that, other settings should be all set!

@jeherve How would i know if i’m using a jetpack widget on my blog? Is it labeled with Jetpack?

Yes, you’ll see ” (Jetpack)” in the Widget title.
