Deleting Home Page

  • Hi There,

    Any help would be so appreciated! I am trying to delete the theme provided ‘home’ page from my blog. I want a static landing page and have made that, but can’t get rid of the ‘home’ page.

    I am using the theme wp-sanda and the website is https://www.debtsettlementexplained.com

    Also, does Google like a static home page better than a blog page, or does it really matter?

  • The “home” link could be hard-coded in your theme’s header.php or it could be created by the wp_page_menu template tag.

    I have a related, but separate question.

    I want to completely remove(unpublish/) my entire page. I plan to publish a website at the same url and perhaps 3 months later build a blog into that site. Hopefully using wordpress!

    Suggestions?
