• Jacob Peattie suggested a solution to my earlier post “This page can’t load google maps correctly” (which has disappeared). It involved embedding some google code to share a static Google map on my website instead of the interactive one that won’t load anymore.
His solution worked perfectly on 2 of my pages, but didn’t on the 3rd page. So I’d appreciate any help on why this didn’t work.

I got some embed code and pasted it into my web page for “Contact”. It doesn’t show my location on the map, yet it has a hyper-link at the top left that says “view larger map”. When you click the link it opens a new google map window, which is interactive and shows my location.

So I added this text on my “Contact” page above the map.

So this worked perfectly on both my “Contact” pages. Where it didn’t work is on my main Entry page. https://gprecordingstudio.com

I went into the WordPress admin edit mode, Pages, and chose my Contact page. Where it said Fullwidth map, I clicked on the X to it’s right and it was deleted. I then added the text to the Text Module above. You can see this here:

My Entry page is more complicated and deleting the Fullwidth map by clicking on the X to it’s right or the X on the purple rectangle to it’s left produced the same result. It put a Fullwidth menu at the top of this page and also distorted the top image.

I can’t figure out another way to get rid of the map without messing up my Entry page.

Here’s more images of the edit mode of my Entry page

    Any suggestions?

  • As you are using the commercial DIVI-theme, please go to their official support channel. In order to be good stewards of the WordPress community, and encourage innovation and progress, we feel it’s important to direct people to those official locations. Doing this will provide the developer with the income they need to make WordPress awesome.

Forum volunteers are also not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why your commercial theme or plugin is not working properly. This is one other reason why volunteers forward you to the commercial product’s vendors. The vendors are responsible for supporting their commercial product.
