Deleting Default URL Slugs

I’m creating new taxonomies with Custom Post Type UI and I really need the “category” URL slug, but I can’t create it since it is already taken by default.

Is there a way to delete or maybe rename the default URL slugs? In fact, I would like to just remove the whole default “Posts” post type and everything associated with it (default taxonomies included) if possible.

Any help is appreciated.
