Deleting Categories

It was most likely created by another user (admin?) who has higher priveleges than you. Can you modify/trash the post? Are you using a roles plugin?

Im the only admin to my account.

I can’t delete the category. Im not sure what a “roles” plugin is. Im guessing Im not.

Can you edit the post(s) remove the category from them and then delete the category?

I can add a new post to that category but Im still unable to select / delete that category.

I solved it..!

It was my default category. I went to “Settings” and changed the default post category then I was able to delete it.

Ah yes…I always leave that at ‘uncategorized’…
