Deleting all spam fails

    I have about 10,000 spam comments to empty. Clicking the “Empty spam” button will delete fewer than 100 before returning this error message:

    Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/kgagne/apl2bits/wp-includes/link-template.php on line 160

    How can I increase the maximum execution time —?or is there an alternative way to delete all the spam?
