Deleting a product

    After much agony I have discovered that when a product is removed from Amazon using WP Lister for Amazon, it doesn’t clear out the SKU of the product. It clears out everything else including the ASIN but not the SKU

    I tried after removing 25 Amazon listings and they would not complete when i tried to list them again.

    So i picked one listing and used the “Remove from Amazon” feature. I waited for 24 hours and a bit and tried to add it again and it failed. I then contacted amazon and they told me that i must use the inventory loader template to mark the SKU’s as deleted and then wait 24 hours

    I did this on the one test listing waited 24 hours and then relisted as n a new product using the same SKU and it worked

    Here is the format of the CSV file

    sku add-delete (column i)
    MTSFOTLPW391 x

    Hello albertramsbottom.

    Thank you for this information but I am afraid something else must be going on here. Not only have I personally ran through the same process you did with WP-Lister hundreds of times and had success but so has countless other users using WP-Lister.

    So while I cannot say why that is happening for you, I can say that the current way WP-Lister is setup to remove products, does work and clears out the SKU to allow you to use it again or with another product.

    Right

    But I had a look at the feed before it was submitted and it didnt have an add-delete field in it.

    Ill have a look at the logs, but i am sure that every product that I have ever removed using WP Lister for Amazon, hasnt been removed properly, and this has been pointed out by Amazon by showing me the delete feed that i used

    I will have another look – cheers
