• Hello,

When I delete a map (following steps in FAQ#4), the CF7 form title is deleted too.

The form itself exists and I can simply edit it to re-type the form title and hit save.

But, is this expected behavior or could I be missing anything?

    Kind regards,

I checked this, and all is working as expected. I am not able to reproduce this error on my installations. I suspect another plugin may interfere in you installation. You maybe be able to figure out which one by deactivating extra plugins one by one and try to repeat the issue.

hi, i have the same issue, deleting maps delete title of form

have you tried to reload the page to see if the title reappears?

The only thing I can think of is that a plugin/theme might be interfering otherwise. The deleting mechanism is std WP quick-edit coding and does not make changes to the title.

I am seeing this issue as well, and I believe I’ve found the problem.

When using the Quick Edit on a form, the current title is not correctly populated in the title field. This is easy to miss, since the main reason to use Quick Edit is to change the “Form 2 post” status from Published to Draft or to delete it entirely, so you aren’t paying attention to the title field. The result is that clicking the Update button saves the blank title to the form.

    Hi @puggy

that’s a good observation, I can now see it when I am not using the Smart Grid extension which I use on a continuous basis as it completely rewrites the non-std way CF7 plugin integrates with WP core in the backend…

The CF7 plugin integration does not allow for customisation of the form table. Post My CF7 Form plugin ‘quick-edit’ is achieved with a js hack, and hence a source of instability as this bug reveals.

I am going to fix this in the next release.

Temporary fix: Install the Smart-grid extension. Note, the cf7 smart grid allows you to operate your forms with the grid switched off, existing forms are by default in that mode. New forms needs to be designed in the text editor by deleting the grid layout html that is pre-filled by the editor.
