• Hello

I recently built this site https://mcecenter.com/ on Yahoo’s small business WordPress hosting platform. Everything associated with this site shows up like this https://mcecenter.com/index.php/about/ with /index.php etc

    **** Here’s the problem! ****

This url https://mcecenter.com/main.php?page=content/home and all things connected to /main.php …. shows that the old NON WordPress site/content is still live and attached to the domain. I can see the pages/urls/files etc in the Yahoo control panel.

Is it okay to simply delete it all since it’s not connected to the WP install/site? Yahoo has not clue of what to do here.

    Thanks,

    Mike

  • A typical WordPress installation will contain the following stuff in the root directory:
    Three directories:
    wp-admin
    wp-content
    wp-includes

    And the following files:
    index.php
    license.txt
    readme.html
    wp-activate.php
    wp-blog-header.php
    wp-comments-post.php
    wp-config-sample.php
    wp-config.php
    wp-cron.php
    wp-links-opml.php
    wp-load.php
    wp-login.php
    wp-mail.php
    wp-settings.php
    wp-signup.php
    wp-trackback.php
    xmlrpc.php

    Everything else can be deleted.
