Deleted WPide It Took Down My Staging Site

Hello, the site was running version 2.3.2 of WPide, on WP 3.7.3. I am updating on the staging site, I deactivated the plug on the new WP installation. I would not use this plugin and deleted it, and got the white screen. I uploaded the backed up plug in and the backed up db and the site came back up but I am now having problems interfacing with the theme. I did not update the theme. It is the staging site, but I would like to know what could have happened. Thank you.
