I recently did a big update to my website and deleted the WooCommerce plugin. I am setting up GDPR compliance with the Complianz plugin and after a cookie scan it shows my site still producing a WooCommerce cookie: “wc_cart_hash_*” even though there is no installed WooCommerce.

What is this and how do I remove it?

    Thanks!

    Hi @gfields108,

Merely deactivating or removing the WooCommerce plugin from your site will not remove all the data as people sometimes have to test for plugin conflicts by deactivating plugins and it would be a monumental disaster to have that data deleted when that was not the intention.

If you’re looking to completely remove all WooCommerce data from your site, you’ll want to follow the directions provided here – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/installing-uninstalling-woocommerce/#section-4

    Cheers

Thanks, Luminus! I had done a thorough removal of WooCommerce using the remove_all_data function and cleared the website cache. Turns out it was a browser caching issue which I should have thought of-doh! All good now.
