Deleted Website/Cant load .SQL file after clean install.

Hey All,

I have been trying to figure this out for the past 5 hours nothing is working.

So, here is what happened: I accidentally deleted something via my ftp. Whatever it was, I didn’t realize it, and now everything is completely off. After getting off support with bluehost, they recommended I do a clean install and reload my sql database files. Im completely lost.

Here is what I did so far: I did a clean install of wordpress via pulic_html. I went to my backup and restore option in my cpanel, and downloaded the .sql file to my desktop as well.

Here is where I’m stuck: I have the database that wordpress created by default. I went to create a NEW database and upload the .sql file to that. I changed the wp-config file to the correct parameters to the NEW database. When I go to the site, it’s prompting me to install wordpress, via install.php.

I want to get my site back to where it was prior to me deleting a file that I have no idea what it was. From my understanding, the backup and restore option via bluehost should do this, but it didn’t.

Please help…my site was almost completed too! ??
