Deleted the wrong piece of code

  • I was trying to remove “powered by wordpress” from my website’s footer and deleted the wrong piece of code. Now all I get is a white screen, and I cannot login to my admin panel. Is there any way to fix this?

  • Well, if you know what file you edited you could try getting the original from the WordPress or Theme download here.

    If you webhost does daily backups, might see if they can restore the file to yesterday’s version or something.

    Thanks Mark. I ended up re-installing WordPress, so now I’m at square one… : (
