Deleted Static Page – Works great on Computer, Mobile is still showing

    As stated, I had a static page a few months back and decided to delete it and just show the latest blog posts as before. Everything has worked great on my computer since then.

    Just recently went to show a friend the blog on my phone and it was still directing to the static page (which I even thought I deleted from my server) I hadn’t looked at my blog at all in those months from a mobile browser. Now I’m kicking myself at people who may have showed up and wondered what the heck was going on.

    The blog is https://www.traveldevoted.com and I’m using GeneratePress theme.

    Any ideas? Thank you!

    Hello,
    After deleting your static page, have you changed on the sidebar under Settings -> Reading -> Front page displays, from “A static page” to “Your latest posts”?

    Yes I have. I changed that setting when I deleted the static page.

    As I said it’s been working great on the computer so I didn’t even realize that on mobile it wouldn’t show up properly. I’m wondering if it could be my cached memory, even though I cleared it.

    Could you try to view it on your computer and mobile and just verify that it is different? That would be awesome.

    Hello,

    I’m seeing the same page on both Mac and mobile, The title of the site is “Static Page – Travel Devoted”. It seems to be showing the static page, probably because of how the theme works.

    This is what i get on my mobile

    And this on my Mac

    I’ve found a lot of threads about latest posts on the home in the GeneratePress theme forum,
    maybe you can find your answer.

    Here some of them:
    – Last post in homepage (page)
    – Home page is latest posts but doesn’t show up if you click home
    – How do I display recent posts on Home page in middle content section?

    Thanks for the help. I just can’t seem to find what’s wrong. I have set to no static page, and to show my latest posts. Within the WordPress Customizer it shows exactly as I see it on my computer (how I want it to look), but I guess that’s not what it looks like to anyone else.

    I even just tried to login to the GeneratePress forum with my username and now it just giving a blank page with the word error on it.

    Frustrating.

    Hey I went to the GeneratePress support forum and got it all worked out. Turns out I just needed to clear the W3 plugin cache. I had deleted it a few days ago, went ahead and reinstalled it, hit clear cache, boom. Fixed.
