Deleted staged site; live site now broken

    Hello,

    I recently deleted a staged site that has now gone live (the staged site was on a completely different URL). Unfortunately, after doing that the live website has not been functioning right; especially the homepage.

    Oddly enough, I even get two versions of the homepage coming up if I refresh. I talked to the host, and they flushed our cache on their end, but it hasn’t helped. I’m guessing something is wrong in the database.

    Has anyone ever experienced anything like this before?

    Hello alaina13,

    It’s strange that you are seeing 2 different versions of you homepage. I took a quick look at your code and it seems like you’re using a minification plugin to compress your HTML/CSS, this could be affecting cache as well depending on the plugin. Could you try disabling this plugin and try viewing your site from a different location.

    I’ve tried minification plugins in the past that have always caused my site to act a bit weird so it’s the first thing I can think of to try here.

    Let us know if anything changes after you deactivate the plugin.

    Hey!

    Thanks for the tip. I deactivated W3 Total Cache which was minifying the hymn and css. It doesn’t look any different on my phone yet, but I will try it from a different computer today.

    It looks like it is still minifying even though I deactivated the plugin. Do you think this could be causing issues?
