• I have added 4 posts from my site to trash from within dashbord. Within ‘posts’ the are not listed, however, the Post titles are displayed within my sidebar. When they are clicked a 404 message appears. Any ideas how I can rectify this permanently? Is it a case of these posts being present in cache and they might disappear in a day or so?

Same think has happened when moved Page to trash. Title remains, however I get a 404 and no content can be seen.

  • This is not supposed to happen. The default Recent Posts widget doesn’t display posts in Trash. That should be either some caching issue, or a custom implementation of recent posts.

please list the plugins / widgets other than default wordpress. And see if you have a cache plugin, you will need to reset it.
