deleted plugin still shows up in admin?

  • Hello,

    I used Filezilla to delete a couple of plugins from the plugin folder of my site. For some reason, however, when I log into the admin, they still show under ‘installed plugins’. I have no problem uninstalling them there as well, but does this mean that my admin area is not accurately reflecting the file structure on the server?

  • If you delete plugin via ftp, you have still data in database, so it read this probably from there.
    If you can, proper way is to uninstall plugin from admin, not just delete folder (this is emergency deleting)
