Deleted plugin – lost media files

  • Baffled by this, looking for help.
    There is a media library but only for things that are added since it broke.
    Via FTP I can see the old media library is still there.

    Not sure if it was the deletion of a plugin but it’s one of the last things that I did before I lost the connection to the media library.

    Running WP 3.9.2, Genesis News-Pro theme.

    I’ve searched the support area for answers and tried quite a few – with no luck.

    I have reinstalled a new version of WP, and the theme News-Pro
    I have disabled all plugins. no luck.
    I have reverted to 2013 theme – no luck.
    I have repaired each table in system (myphpadmin)
    I have backed up the entire site (now, too late) with BackupBuddy 5.0.2.8
    I have used the ‘restore’ function on BlueHost cpanel to a week ago
    I have run Sucuri scans for malware and other issues but it comes up clean https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/www.fresyes.com/

    Desperately need help! Any ideas?
