Deleted PDF still live

  • Deleted a PDF many months ago (not entirely sure, but think it was Nov 2013). The PDF still comes up in google searches, and google will not remove the page since they say it is still live.

    It’s definitely not in my media library anywhere, nor can I find a link to it.

    How do I stop it showing in Google searches and/or stop it being live?

    Help gratefully received – bit desperate now as this is causing me problems with my business…

    Does the PDF actually load when you click the link in Google searches? Maybe it’s gone, but Google still thinks it’s there.

    If it loads, access your server via FTP or SFTP, and navigate to the directory where the file appears to be, and delete it that way.
