• Please help! I accidentally deleted my wp-config.php file, and now I am getting a “Error establishing a database connection” error. When I go to my hosting site, there aren’t any databases associated with my site, although I’ve been using my site and WordPress for almost two years now. So I have no idea how to properly recreate the wp-config.php.

    Any advice? Help!

  • there has to be a database or your wouldnt have worked before. contact your host and ask them to help you find your database info.

WP 2.0.11 is what, perhaps 15 months old? I don’t know if anybody still has that old version. Try using 2.3.3’s wp-config.php with correct database name, password and so forth. I have 2.1.2’s wp-config.php, though, if you need it.

This is your lucky day. You can download WP 2.0.11 here.

2.0.11 may be old but it IS still supported, people do still use it, and guess what, those installs of it, are not seeing the same security issues that 2.3.x are.
