• after an update, the website was not loading. Got an error, related to JetPack, I clicked to disconnect JetPack, and my website was deleted from wordpress!

I can’t request help to jetpack because they require the user to have a website connected to JetPack, which I had and it was deleted! I now go to my wordpress account and have no websites!

There isn’t a place to restore, even if I had made a website backup recently.

This is completely unacceptable, no website can be deleted just like that, plus not having an option to restore. Help on WP? None. Help on JetPack? None. Horrible experience, months of work into that website, users, and online courses.

    Hi there,

Since you disconnected Jetpack, that’s why it disappeared from the WordPress.com dashboard, but your site and all its data should still be there on your hosting. So there is nothing to worry about here. ??

You can contact your hosting provider and get access to the site again, and if you connect the site again with Jetpack, it will again start to appear on the WordPress.com dashboard.

May I know why you had deactivated the Jetpack from the site and what is your site address so that we can help you in the correct direction?

Thank you for the reply. The last update was showing an error on my WP, the website was not showing up, so I disconnected the plug in for troubleshooting.

I’d like to suggest that as a user, I should be able to contact JetPack support if the plugin is not connected to the website, if something happens like in this situation.

Not being able to contact support when we need it leads to bad user exerience and trust on the brand.

    thank you for the help,

    Hey there, @102albatross

Glad to hear your webhost was able to fix your site and the connection to Jetpack.

All paid Jetpack plans have access to very quick ticket response, but if anyone has only a free connection, they are welcome to come here for support (it just might take a bit longer).
