Deleted menu item still available

    I am developing my first wp site locally using Microsoft WebMatrix3 and I have spent hours trying to solve the problem of a deleted menu item still appearing on the front end. When I check the source code in FF browser the link item is still there.

    The first thing I did was to clear the caches but it had no effect.

    Secondly, I re-installed a back-up from before the deletion and did it again but still with the same outcome.

    Thirdly, spent many hours on the forum trying to find a solution …no luck!

    The menu is a custom menu added to the footer area in a template I built using Artiseer.

    Where do I go next?

    Which item(s) have to deleted that keep reappearing

    Hi Tara, I’m using a custom theme and I am trying to get rid of a menu item … it has been deleted in the menu area but keeps appearing on the front end.

    I’m using a custom theme

    My suggestion would be to contact the theme’s developer.

    That’s easy … I built the theme using a program called Artisteer, I don’t think it has anything to do with the theme.
    I suspect its my lack of knowledge of wp.

    My bad, it was a custom menu that I located in the footer area with, guess what?…a widget!

    I am more familiar with joomla and keep forgetting about widgets, removed the list item from the widget, saved it and everything was good!
